Bone Conduction: How it Works
Bone conduction technology has been around for decades. It works on the premises of vibration. With bone conduction speakers, sound doesn’t travel by air as in conventional headphones, but rather by vibration through solid mediums. When bone conduction speakers are placed around the head, the vibration resonates the bones of your head producing an acoustic effect unique to you.
Dome Headphones use this technology; however, we refer to it as “vibrational speakers”. In fact, we’ve developed the worlds first Surround Sound Bone Conduction Headphones™.
An example of how bone conduction works can be seen with Beethoven, the 18th century composer. Ludwig Van Beethoven eventually became almost completely deaf. For him to hear, he would attach a metal rod to his piano while clenching it with his teeth. He became aware of sound because the vibrations transferred from the piano to his jawbone. His ability to hear the music was no longer entirely dependent upon his ears.

SHIPPING/ORDERS
Shipping is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2020. Pre Orders will be shipped in the order in which they were placed. Pre Order customers will receive periodic updates on the pre- order shipment schedule. Individual customers will be informed of their actual shipment dates when they become available.

Can I place an order outside the United States?

Why was my order cancelled?
Dome Headphones reserves the right to cancel customer orders if the order is unable to be fulfilled. Reasons an order cannot be fulfilled may include: incomplete shipping address; foreign billing, shipping, or IP address; declined credit card, out of stock item, or a flag by our fraud protection system.
Do you ship internationally?

How long will it take for my order to process and ship?
Orders are generally processed and shipped within 1-2 business days. Please allow additional time for processing during holidays.
How will my headphones ship?
All of our headphones ship USPS First Class Mail or USPS Priority Mail out of New York, NY.
How long will it take to receive my headphones?
Most customers will receive their order within 5-7 business days of placing their order. This timeframe will not apply to pre-orders or backorders. Please allow additional time for orders to process and ship during holidays.
Can I choose a different shipping method?
At this time we’re only able to offer standard shipping through USPS.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is free in the continental US, and $15 in Alaska and Hawaii.
My tracking number says my headphones were delivered but I don’t have them. What do I do?
Please confirm the shipping address on your order. Check all doors, mailboxes and desk attendants. If you continue to be unable to locate your package after 24 hours of receiving the delivery notification, please contact our Customer Happiness Team at info@Dome Headphones.com.
